Generating More Traffic for Your Website

Everyone could use more traffic to their website, right?  Well, of course, but certainly specifically targeted traffic that meets who your target audience is would be ideal.

This week I've come across several articles and posts from others with ideas and strategies that will help you generate more traffic to your website or blog.

...And if your goal, like with a blog for example, is to grow your community/readership/subscriber base more traffic allows more opportunity to grow your list.

Here's a strategy that Pat Flynn published this week on his Smart Passive Income blog.  It's a traffic generation strategy that involves interviewing, even just with questions over email, group or forum owners within your industry or niche.  Check it out.

Another way is something I heard on Nick Loper's Side Hustle Nation podcast this week.  His guest Alexis Grant described a Twitter strategy where you target a list of influential thought-leaders in your industry on Twitter and build a relationship with them over time by retweeting their posts and commenting back with them as they post.  At some point in the future as you have something you would like those influential people to post you'll have a better shot at suggesting it to them, and hopefully reap the benefits of doing so. Listen to the podcast.
