I've been playing for rooms full of strangers since 1994 — coffeeshops, bars, festival stages — and the thing that's never changed is this: I'm not up there to impress you. I'm up there because music does something nothing else can. It makes a room full of separate people feel, for a little while, like they're in it together.
The guitars I build come from that same place. They start as something discarded — old thrift store guitars/parts, shelves, table-tops; wood with a past — and end up as something no one else has. If one of them speaks to you, it was probably already yours. By day I work in B2B marketing. I've spent years noticing that the skills that make you good at one make you better at the other.
