According to TheKnot.com, on average, weddings cost close to $30,000.
Multiply that by the 2.3 million couples that wed every year, and according to SoundVision.com, you have an industry worth $70+ billion. Well, wedding season is fast approaching and for businesses in that industry there is plenty pieces of the pie (or wedding cake) to be had. While each wedding is unique to the couples who choose to wed there are many commonalities across most weddings. So if you’re in the wedding industry your product or service needs to differentiate itself from the typical wedding fare to stand out. That usually means taking a new approach to common wedding products or services, or making them more “luxurious” and/or higher quality. My point is, it doesn’t seem like there are too many new wedding industry products or services that are truly unique, just different variations on the same old thing. However, something new and fun is Wedding Day Sparklers. Instead of throwing rice as the new married couple exits the wedding ceremony, lit sparklers makes for a stunning action photo in the wedding album. After all, one’s wedding day is about creating new memories together. Wedding Day Sparklers also carries sky lanterns, wooden roses and LED balloons -- ways to decorate and illuminate one's special day. My advice, is if you're in the wedding industry, building strong referral partnerships with industry businesses might be a way to help your product or service stand out...imagine this conversation with a couple, "You know what might be unique? Sparklers. I know a business that can help." posted by: Nick Venturella
